This site was originally intended to be more of a general site for my various projects and work, but the TeamView application has more or less taken over. For that reason, TeamView now has it’s own domain: http://www.teamviewapp.com.
If you found your way here due to any of the TeamView college football apps for the iPhone, head on over to the new address for more up-to-date information.

Quick on the heels of the Notre Dame app, the USC Trojans app is now available on the app store. Just like the other TeamView apps, this one has a countdown to kickoff, searchable roster, schedule, and staff listings, as well as an RSS news feed. Click here for more information the Trojans app, or here for more about the TeamView family of apps.

TeamView: Notre Dame

I’ve submitted 2 more teams to Apple under the “TeamView” banner — the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Southern California Trojans. Sometime in the next few days, you USC and Notre Dame fans should have a new application available to you to view the 2009 schedule, roster, coaching staff, and a news feed from a hand selected fan blog right on your iPhone.
What makes TeamView different from other team apps? All data is stored locally, so no more waiting for a slow cellular internet connection to find out your team’s schedule, or to figure out the name of your defensive coordinator, or to see a listing of all the Quarterbacks on the roster. We’re also constantly updating content and adding new functionality.
I’ll update again when these are on the app store.

The TeamView: Gators application is now available via the App Store! TeamView Gators is a must have for any Gators fan with a schedule, roster, staff listing, and news feed that will be updated as the season progresses.

I’m a Bama fan through and through, but I’m also a College Football fan. I’ve received several requests to build applications similar to iTide for other teams.
I’ve recently submitted to Apple the first of my “TeamView” applications, one for the Florida Gators. The application is very similar to the iTide application, and shares all the features that make it great — local data (no internet connection required), searchable roster, countdown to kickoff, etc. And, like iTide, I’ll keep this updated with roster and staff changes, as well as new features as we move into the season. I’ve teamed up with the great Gators blog Saurian Sagacity (http://sauriansagacity.blogspot.com/) to provide an RSS feed for updated news on the Gators straight from the source.
Once the Gators are complete, I’ll be starting on the next team. If you have a specific team request, feel free to hit me up in the comments or via email at jdenmark@gmail.com. I can’t make any promises, but it never hurts to ask.

By popular demand, I’m putting the finishing touches on the first major upgrade to the iTide iPhone application. I’ve teamed up with the BamaSportsReport (http://www.bamasportsreport.com), a fantastic Alabama Sports blog. The guys have graciously allowed me to embed their RSS feed into the iTide application, so look out for an update coming soon with this new functionality.
I’ve got alot more planned, but I’m still always open to feedback and suggestions, so keep ‘em coming.

The update for iTide is now available on the App store. If you have downloaded the program previously, please go pick up this latest version, as it contains a handful of bug fixes.

I’ve uploaded an update to the iTide application this evening. Generally, Apple takes 5-7 days to approve, so it should be available via the normal App Store updating mechanism some time next week.
Technically, this is version 1.03 of the code; however, due to some strangeness with Apple’s file management with regards to the app store, it may show up as 1.01. Not to worry, you are getting the right thing. I’ll try to make sure the versions are in sync with the next iteration.
This update is just a few minor bug fixes, including the Auburn game location error. Please feel free to email me or add a comment if you have an idea for an addition, or if you find a bug.

It’s been 10 days since iTide launched on the app store, and I’ve received a handful of questions and comments about the app. I wanted to take a few moments and hit on a few of them, both to let you know I am listening, and that this is really just the beginning of the application.
Q: Where are the 2009 Signees?
I followed signing day closely, and I’m as eager to add them as folks are to see them added…but I’m holding off on a big Roster update until closer to A-day, and we can see how this season is going to shape up. I’ll also take that opportunity to remove our seniors and others who left after the 2008 season.
